American Chemical Society Journal Publishes New Article from Dr. Godwin

The American Chemical Society has published a new article co-authored by Dr. Andrew Godwin in Vol7/Issue11 of ACS Applied Bio Materials. The article, "Tracking Small Extracellular Vesicles Using a Minimally Invasive PicoGreen Labeling Strategy", was co-authored by Sagar Rayamajhi, Benjamin K. Gibbs, Jared Sipes, Harsh B. Pathak, and Stefan H. Bossmann.

This innovative research details a new method for tracking extracellular vesicles (EVs) using a fluorescent dye, PicoGreen. EVs are small particles secreted by cells which facilitate cellular communication and contain important markers for cellular health. This method seeks to use PG to track EVs without altering their natural functions, a concern which has limited other methods of EV tracking in practical studies.
